Day 17, At Sea heading toward Hawaii

   Woke up today about 1/3 of the way to Hawaii Getting spoiled having breakfast on the balcony Besides turning our clocks back last night (so we are on Alaska time today, 4 hours earlier than east coast), today was mandatory covid testing. We passed Another paper folding craft today We went up to the pool deck and saw that they had turned the pool into a splash pool!!  Because yesterday was a little rough, they had taken half the water out of the pool. But even with it being less rough, the water started going back and forth and finally made a big splash.  Since there was a lot of open recliners by the pool, we sat out for awhile.  But the pool towels became blankets today as it was only around 60 and breezy.  Then it started sprinkling, so we moved! They fixed the Satellite TV antenna in time for the playoff games today.  It went out last week right as the first game was ending and they just got it fixed.  I am sure a lot of people were happy. Day 24, Jan 28, Crossing the Equator

  And the big event today is crossing the equator . The equator is at 0 degrees latitude. Everything north of the equator is a positive latitude (or has a N after it for North), everything south of the equator has a negative latitude (or has a S after it for South).  We were moving closer to 0.0 degrees and the equator. First was where were when we woke up. Then we were just over 2 degrees above the equator. And then at 1/2 degree. Then just as we transitioned into the southern hemisphere later in the afternoon. Toni changed up the door decorations. Rob was hoping it would change the recent losses for both Buckeye BB teams. But it didn't work for the men today and we will see how the women's team does tomorrow. After breakfast, Toni and Rob went to Stretch class today.  And then Line Dancing. Day 33, halfway to New Zealand

   Easy Sea Day with CALM seas Craft Day was a Penguin Goofy Golf  Toni's 1st shot was online but the partially broke "hole" hurt her score as it did many. Rob was a little off on the first shot (and it kept rolling past the cup) but finished with a three Toni's portable lounge chair is getting a lot of use. On the balcony and in the room. She was even happier with some M&Ms and a drink. Toni got the Grilled Eggplant and Cheese, Rob the beef stuffed Yucca Fritter For Dinner, Rob tried the Calamari Steak. Venus is closer to the sun than the Earth so it can be seen in the morning just before sunrise or just before sunset.
