Day 38, At Sea running from Gabriella

At Sea today. With our change of plans, the Captain is heading full speed south and then will turn into Cook Strait and head west toward Australia.  We will pass Picton and Wellington that we were going to stop at.

Three of ports we have visited were the first time that the Island Princess had visited. The towns presented the Captain and Ship something to remember these initial stops.

Craft class was a valentines string art

Toni's craft was used as a thank you to one of the Guest Services workers that supported us one day with expertise, a smile and humor.

Our youngest fellow passenger

Toni and Rob played another round of goofy golf.

Then the ladies at the bar and behind the bar got Toni trying a new drink.

Pre-dinner drink.  Another of the Flor's Good Spirits at Sea recipes.  This one was from the Dominican Republic called Coco Cafe.  If the Princess Dirty Banana was like a Chocolate Milkshake, this was Chocolate Milk.

Dinner

Chicken and Bok Choy soup for Toni, Spring Rolls for Rob

Tri Tip for main course

And apple, chocolate and Raspberry mini desserts.

We were heading into the Cook Strait and out running Tropical Cyclone Gabriele

Some clouds starting to roll in.

A few ships were in the Cook Strait.

As the sun set and we were in Cook Strait, you could see both the North Island and South Island of New Zealand.

With the changes, we will have three more sea days before getting to Melbourne.
