Day 11 Jan 15 At sea off the coast of Mexico heading to Puerto Vallarta

 At day at sea today

We woke up this morning almost half way between Huatulco and Puerto Vallarta. Mexico City which was North East of us. We were going at 20 Knots seems to be our top cruising speed.

The Princess Platter has all of the activities for the day.

Toni had her morning craft class and was a paper folding card.

A Sombrero and Maracas

Then it was time for Toni's first try at Bingo. No winning at Bingo but she won at the scratch off!

The Bingo host's stage name is "Fortuna Luck." She was dressed up like a ball player and had a saying for each ball she pulled.  B-12, have you taken your vitamins (including B-12) today? and O-64 "will you still love me when I'm sixty four"

We took some baby steps and watched the ball room dancing class that Cole, the Cruise Director hosted.  The first part was a few steps and he then put it to music and it was Queen!  Rob said, I might be able to do that.  Then a second more complicated set of steps, and then a third complicated one, and then ended with a twirl.  Well we will see.

Well all that movement made us hungry for a snack. But it was a sad day on the pool deck in front of the large screen. The TV system went out right after the first game yesterday and was out for most of the day. Saw two guys, one in the Dolphins shirt and the other in a Vikings shirt. Neither looked happy before or after the games!!

Today's was the Chef's Dinner and he had recommended pairings of appetizer, main course and dessert. Rob and Toni both got the recommended Vol-Au-Vent le Grand Chef  for the appetizer. There were two recommended main courses, the Vegetable Tart and the Rack of Lamb. Toni got the tart and Rob the Lamb.

The vol-au-vent, which means windblown, is a French dish that can be served both as an appetizer (with savory fillings) or as a dessert if the fillings are sweet. So this was an appetizer with seafood and was good.  Forgot the picture of the dinner but while it was good, it wasn't our favorites.

We are enjoying walking out on the deck after dinner for the sunsets.  This was one of those nights where there was just enough clouds, not too many and not too few, to create some good pics.

One of Toni's crafts was a windchime.  Figured it wasn't too useful until we got home. But we have our own sea state sensor.  I have a feeling that if it gets really rough, we might have to take it down to get some sleep.

Tomorrow is Puerto Vallarta.  Some beach time, walking around and Wal-Mart!
