Day 3 At Sea

The morning views out of the balcony are pretty nice.

There is so much to do that it is hard to pick. Luckily the "Princes Platter" is delivered the night before and you can plan your day.  Rob had Sudoku and two educational talks in the Princess Theater while Toni had an Arts and Crafts session. And that was all before lunch.

Even though we had breakfast delivered, Rob got a fancy drink (White Chocolate Latte) on the way to the Sudoku event.  He should have got an extra shot of expresso in it since there was a Sudoku Shark that wiped all the rest of them out.

Rob then went to a talk about the Panama Canal and then another one on some of the historic Ocean Liners. While Toni created a fabulous heart.

It was a little choppy today so there were a lot of people onboard using patches, Green Apples, Ginger, and other motion sickness remedies. But the seas might not have been as bad as we will see!! Who knows what the future holds.

We then went to a Martini show in the atrium where Cole the cruise director brought the top bartenders on the ship together to show their stuff. Cole tried to fill a glass on a bartenders head and that didn't go well.
It was all great but the last one topped them all as he made nine different martinis, stacked nine martini glasses, made a tower of the martinis and then proceeded to fill all nine glasses at the same time.

After that, we headed topside for a slice of pizza and a cold one.  The Princess app and these medallions make things easy. You don't even have to move. Order on the app and they know where you are and bring it to you, Pretty cool and maybe a little dangerous ;-)

The waves on the boat were as big as those outside the boat!!!

After the pool, we went to the afternoon tea at 3 pm.  This event seems like a good afternoon snack (today a Scone with Strawberry jam and cream, and a very rich chocolate fudge desert). But we have our dinner reservation at 5:20 and need to watch not to eat too much here,

Dinner started with some Shrimp Cocktail for both of us, Toni had French Onion Soup and a salad, and Rob had an "Austrian Specialty - Wiener Zwiebel Rostbraten" which he called Austrian Pot Roast! But it was all good.

The beer that Rob had is from Petaluma, California. Home of Rob's cousin Doug and Mary Ann, and their kids and Grandkids.

Well this cruise is an opportunity to try new things and see what we like and don't like.  So after that Martini event earlier, we stopped at the Good Spirits Bar after Dinner and decided to try some things out.  First was Toni getting a Lemon Drop Martini and Rob a Baked Alaska Martini.  Well the result was Rob got a Baked Alaska and a Lemon Drop Martini!!!

When the waiter saw that she didn't like that, he said he had one he knew she would like.  Well it was called a Baccarat Martini and she drank it but we will see if she gets it again.  He also told her to try the Milky Way martini. Rob also tried the traditional 007 Martini.

As we make our way into our first port call tomorrow in Cartagena and a visit to the National Aviary, here are the sounds out our balcony as we transit the Caribbean Sea.
