Day 15, Los Angeles

We woke up in port at the World Cruise Center in San Pedro, south of downtown LA. The Port is also a major shipping center.

We were tied up right next to the Battleship USS Iowa

The Island Princess was docked right in front of the Iowa.

Since the fuel barge wasn't moving, one of our feathered friends stopped by.

The fuel barge was along side all day filling our tanks for the long Pacific Ocean journey.

Finally the tug pulled up and tied to the barge. And finally it pulled the barge away.

We had to turn around before we could leave port.  The captain turned the ship around in the channel while still near the container ship.

And finally we were on our way out of the port and heading back out to the Pacific Ocean.

Next stop, Hawaii!!  Four sea days first.
