Day 8 Jan 12 At Sea
Today was an At Sea day that was originally supposed to be a stop in Nicaragua. But that stop was cancelled because of some of the unrest there and wrongful detention. So we will be heading up to our first stop in Mexico. Since we wouldn't going in/out of port and staying for the day, the captain has us going a little slower today. Only 13 knots (about 15 MPH) so it was a smooth day on the water.
Every night our room steward turns down our bed and leaves us the Princess Patter. This is the list of everything that it going on for the day. So today was another Formal night. It is was also a day that we could get the Alfredo's Pizza that we have heard about.
On sea days at 9am, Rob does a Speedy Sudoku and Toni does a craft. We both finished but weren't the fastest!
It is now hanging in the room and think we will know when the seas get rough!!

Most of the Princess Ships have a restaurant called Alfredo's that has make to order Pizza's. But the Island Princess is smaller since it was built to just fit through the old locks of the Panama Canal. So there is no room for an Alfredo's. So the fancy Italian Restaurant, Sabatini's, will make the Alfredo's Pizza on some of the Sea Days. So we decided to try it out.

It was formal night so everyone dressed up and was some great things on the menu. For an appetizer, Rob had the Prosciutto and Ricotta, Toni the French Onion Soup.
Rob had a sundae and Toni had Pineapple Flambe.

Now off the coast of El Salvador we will spend tomorrow sailing toward Huatulco, Mexico and arriving on Saturday. Still traveling at a smooth 13 Knots!
